Before you export Jira to CSV

Step by step
01Open search
Go to Filters, then View all work items.
02Write the JQL
Start broad, like project = ABC ORDER BY created ASC, and check the result count.
03Split if it's over 10,000
Add date ranges, like created >= 2020-01-01 AND created < 2021-01-01, until each batch is under 10,000.
04Export to CSV
Click Export and choose a CSV option. All fields gives the most history, but it's slower.
05Download from the notification
The export runs in the background. When it's done, Jira shows a notification with a download link.
06Check the totals
Add up the rows across your files and make sure they match the original search count, with no gaps or duplicates.
